Use basic facts tables to design differentiated facts checks for addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.

I know you are comfortable using a basic facts table when you are teaching your students their basic facts strategies and today you will be using that same familiar tool.     Wow, talk about differentiation, you will be a star!

  • Step 1 - Determine what type of facts check you will be creating by selecting the appropriate tab. You can use multiple tabs to create mixed facts checks!

  • Step 2 - Identify the problems you would like on the facts check by clicking on the appropriate sums (click top left corner for ALL or again to CLEAR).

  • Step 3 - Click the "Review Selected Facts" button to review the problems that you have selected (highlighted silver). The problems will appear in order.

  • Step 4 – Select whether you would like a 25, 50, or 100 problem facts check by selecting 5x5, 5x10, or 10x10.

  • Step 5 - Click "Print Preview" button. The problems will be randomized automatically!

  • Step 6 - Print directly from the page (it should be printer-friendly). Print the student version first and then toggle the answers on/off by clicking anywhere on the page. If you click refresh on the facts check page it will create a new randomized order for you!
